10tons Launches Boom Brigade Update on Apple App Store

Oct 26, 2009

Tampere, Finland – October 26, 2009 – 10tons Ltd. announced today that a huge update for Boom Brigade is now available for iPhone™ and iPod touch®. The update practically more than doubles the content of the game which is said to be a “top down tower defense line drawing shooter”.

“We’ve implemented some of the features we had planned and also some which were requested by the community. For example, there are more options in the “BunkerMart” for the player to spend his money on. We also have a new world, new monsters, and even some background info,” said Timo Palonen, one of the game designers. “So, you’ll get a huge experience for the price of a cafe latté!”

The update features a new class: the pyro. The pyro uses a flamethrower to stream fire upon the alien horde. The class comes with five different upgrade levels. Also, the simple trooper update system was replaced with a nifty “BunkerMart” that has a broad selection of supplies, including health packages, repair bots, reinforcements, powerups, and more. The troopers will also travel to a new world where they can observe the unique behavior of never before seen aliens.

The game is developed and published by 10tons Ltd. It is their latest unique title just for iPhone and iPod touch. Their other iPhone games such as Azkend and Dragon Portals have been getting outstanding reviews since their release and are still growing in audience. Additional unique titles for just iPhone and iPod touch are in the horizon alongside mobile adaptations of 10tons successful casual games.

The game will be on a 48 hour limited time sale starting on Monday 26th October. The sale price is $0.99 or 0.79€. The update is free for those who have already purchased the previous version of the game.

Boom Brigade is available from Apple’s App Store on iPhone or iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/. For more information, please visit www.boombrigade.com.
