Tampere, Finland – May 10, 2012 – Independent game developer 10tons Ltd announced today Puzkend, a free Azkend-style puzzle game set in the fascinating underground world of Azkend 2: The World Beneath. Based on the Puzzle Game Mode of Azkend 2, Puzkend challenges the player to clear the game board by stringing items together using 10tons’ popular take on match-3 gameplay.
“The tremendous entertainment value of the Puzzle Game Mode in Azkend 2 was apparent from a very early stage. The development team loved the game mode, so the idea to spin it off as a standalone game was a no-brainer.” says Sampo Töyssy, Vice CEO of 10tons Ltd.
“Puzkend has no time limits and you can always undo your actions so it’s a very relaxed experience. The game will be free, so everyone can give it a go.” continues Sampo.
Featuring the premium production values of critically acclaimed Azkend 2, Puzkend includes beautiful Retina graphics for the new iPad, atmospheric musical score and hours of casual entertainment for beginners and puzzle fans alike.
Puzkend includes additional level packs available as in-app purchases.
Features:
- Crystal clear Retina graphics for the new iPad
- Azkend-style puzzle gameplay
- Dozens of levels with difficulty levels ranging from easy to epic
- Unlimited undo feature for relaxed gameplay
- Fascinating setting in an underground world
Puzkend will be available for iOS in May 2012. Windows, Mac, Android, bada, Symbian and webOS versions will be available later on.
